i just received the lg chocolate and i did NOT purchase the Music Essentials kit YET. im planning on purchasing one, but in the meantime, the basic phone package came with a headphone adapter to put into the charge slot, but i was wondering if only the verizon headphones that come in the music essentials kit will work, or other headphones too? Please and thank you. =]
A: yes, if you use the adaptor it came with. the adaptor will let you use normal headphones that have a 2.5 mm jack. ex. headphones like the ones that come with iPODS etc. pretty much any headphones will work with the adaptor. have fun with ur phone!
Q: How much would the new LG Chocolate cost without renewing my subscription?
I have the original LG Chocolate, and it's pretty cool, but the performance is kinda crappy, and the new one looks cool, but I'm not gonna pay a shit load of money on it just because it's the newer version. Also, it's too bad Verizon doesn't do phone trade-ins. It'd be nice if I could get something for my old phone and put it towards the new phone or something to make it cheaper. I just recently renewed my subscription this Summer, so I can't like re-renew it to get the phone for cheaper, can I? Don't I have to wait till my subscription is up, or no?
A: Verizon will probably let you buy the phone at full price without renewing your contract, but be prepared to pay anywhere from $100 to $200 more than the advertised contract price.
Q: How do I unlock my LG Chocolate cell phone?
I pushed the # key on my LG Chocolate phone down for a few seconds so I could lock it. This was good until I realized later that I didn't know how to unlock it. It needs an unlock code, but I don't know it. Is there a default code that I put in that someone can tell me or another way of unlocking it? Thanks for any help.

I want to download some videos on my LG chocolate phone and I have no idea how to do that.
A: I got Chocolate a while ago, about september. If you want to download videos, hold the camera button. It should be a video camera. Then touch the upper left line that will say, "My Flix". It has a option that says, "Get V-Cast Video". Touch it, It will connect you to the internet and there is a wide variaty of music videos and tv shows.

The easiest way I have found to put files on a phone (including ringtones, wallpapers screensavers etc) is using Create Ringtone. You send files to your mobile phone by Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) or using Bluetooth infrared or wired connection. It has a 15 day trial (I am not associated with this software). After the trial it is US$20.

I have a car stereo with a USB port. I have a USB cable that plugs into my LG VX8500 (chocolate) phone. Can I play music on my car stereo through this connection?
A: im sure you can but you can also try using a fm transmitter, plug the transmitter to the headphone jack, set a radio station, and tune into the radio station you set on your car

I am trying to buy a phone from Verizon Wireless.
I am thinking of buying the LG Chocolate phone.
I've seen about 30 comments about the phone and some people
have trouble with that phone such as low battery life and no speaker phone.
I figured that there is a speaker phone.
It said that during a call hit the picture button on the left side of the phoen but since I do not have the phone right now,
I dont know if it works. And is the Chocolate a good phone overall?
And if i do buy it, what color do you prefer?

Mine's black, its so cool.
But you have to be super careful with those phones, because if you bump them or drop them too hard, they screw up completely.
I also hate how you can only choose from 4 message tones, theres only 2 menu colours, sliver and black.. and there's no loudspeaker.
But, it looks great, and you can sync it with your computer and put your own ringtones on there, it holds heaps, it's loud- so the good outweighs the bad.
Best phone I've ever had. :]
Q: How come the pictures on my LG chocolate phone dont fill the whole screen?
ok i got a new phone after there was a problem w/ my first LG chocolate phone.Now theres another problem with my new choco"loco"...whenever i take pictures there are white bars over and under the pictures that i take on the phone. basically the pics dont fill the whole screen and it appears the same way when i put it onto wallpaper. taking pictures was fine with my other phone but now its really annoying me, plus ive tried all the resolutions and the smaller the resolution, the more white space it shows , so please if you're willing to answer dont say its the "resolution". i know its just a simple problem to fix i just dont know how too.Thanx!
A: You have to change the picture size, to change go to:
Menu>Multimedia>Camera>Top left touch button>Left Touch button>Ok>Then make the size 640x480 to make it fit the screen.

My LG Chocolate's screen has gone completely white, it is still fully functional I just can't see what Im doing. So can somebody give me precise instructions on taking it off silent - as in which buttons to press in order? Thanks. George.

A: Prepaid might be $20-30 depending on the outlet where you purchase the phone. Shop Wal*Mart, Target, Kroger, Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack, or your independent Cell Store. Prepaid phones will not work if you are beyond 50 miles of the area where you bought the Phone.
If you want to use your cell anywhere USA, avoid the Crickets and Prepaid services.
Q: How do I capitalize texts after a period on the LG Chocolate 3?
I just got the new LG chocolate 3 and I can't get it to capitalize the next word after a period. I have to go into the options and make it all caps to capitalize the new word. This doesn't seem right to me. My old Motorola just capitalized the next word automatically. Is this a feature with the LG's or is it something with my phone?
A: I just got rid of the Lg Chocolate 3, Hmmm let me see if i can remember...Say you want to captalize the L in Love, i think you can just hit the L button which is the letter 5, right, Until you see it captalized.Yes options is another way. Also do you have the symbol button, if you do hit that before you want to captalize the L, then hit the L and it should be captalized.
