Q: I just bought the Sprint Rumor LG cell phone. Can I use "generic" accessories for it?
I really don't want to buy the accessories from the Sprint store because they are expensive, but I wasn't sure if the "generic" accessories (the kind you find at flea markets) will damage my phone. I am specifically looking at the car charger, USB cable, things like that. Please let me know what you think or if you have had any experience like this. Thanks!
A: Using 'generic' accessories will void your manufacturers warranty. I've heard stories of generic car chargers actually damaging batteries in phones or even worse catching your car on fire (no shit) I know at AT&T you have a year warranty on any accessories you buy. Can't say the same for stuff you find at Wal-Mart or else where....
The data cord I would not worry so much about it. But go in your local store and deal with them they usually have a little flexiablity when it comes to prices.
Q: I just got a new LG Trax CU575 cell phone. Help with accessories?
I need to get an USB cable, a memory card (4GB) and Bluetooth headphones so I can listen to MP3,s.
Are these very costly accessories for sale by AT&T proprietary or can I get these accessories at a place like Best Buy or Circuit City.
Thanks.
A: Ok. I'll try to explain this to you pretty simple.
LG are basically the most crappy phone's out there for uploading pictures, and making ringtones and stuff. With most other kinds of phones, when you buy a phone, you'll just get your USB cord, but same with my LG 8500, I didn't get one. About a week or two I was looking around to get one for my phone so that I could use custom made ringtones. I talked to a guy at Best buy, and a guy at Future Shop, and they both said that LG doesn't usually allow big company stores to carry those things. I still haven't gotten mine, but you can get one from amazon or something for like $5 or $6, and it'll come with all of the installation drivers and other stuff.
My phone only came with the 1Gb SD card, and it's defiantly not enough. The Source or Circuit City has 1, 2, 4, and 8GB SD cards, and they're fairly cheap. The 1Gig card is about $29. 2Gig is about $39. 4Gig is about $59-$69, and the 8Gig is about $100-$120. Great investment though.
And on the Bluetooth headphones, they range between $40, and $300. Mine are worth $200, but I have the ability to talk on them aswell as listen to music. So you can either just buy the cheaper one's that will only play music, or you can get the good quality expensive ones, and have the ability to answer your phone with it too.

Q: How do I transfer video to my computer from my LG VX 8100 cell phone?
I have an LG VX 8100 cell phone and really no accessories to go with it. How do I transfer my cell pics and videos on to my computer? What cables or other things do I need to get? thanks.
A: You need mobile office kit. If you go to vzw.com & search for mobile office kit, then refine search by manufacturer "lg".
the kit costs $39.99n which is the standard pricing.. you can expect to receive in 7-10 business days. if you have the lg vx 8100 m where the card is embedded for music, then you can do the transfer via the usb cable inside the kit without any charges.
otherwise, you must pay per message (or subscribe to a bundle) to send to pix place.
Q: What is the best place online to buy cell phone accessories?

A: ebay i get stuff there all the time cheaper than stores

Q: Is the LG 225 phone the same thing as the LG CG225 phone?
Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the LG 225 Tracfone. I have ordered one for my son for Christmas but I haven't received it yet. When I try to find accessories for it, all I can find is the LG CG225 phone. Is this the same phone??? What does the CG stand for? I don't know that much about cell phones. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Rhonda S.
A: Yes it's the same phone. "CG" is just part of the model number, I don't know if it means anything.
This phone was previously released for Cingular, and there is a review of it here: http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/lg/cg225.html . This was a nice phone for its time but now has fallen behind the newer models, but it is has good voice quality, decent battery life and a camera. When you read the review though, keep in mind that Tracfone may not have activated all of the features listed, so it may work differently for Tracfone now than it did for Cingular. The Tracfone site has details: http://www.tracfone.com/phone_details.jsp?model=TFLG0225
Q: Are there any switchable faceplates for the LG Chocolate?
Like, plastic ones that cell phone accessory stores would carry or something.
A: I have a Chocolate(the pink one), and I can't find the faceplates ANYWHERE. I called once and asked, and Verizon had told me that they can custom order you ones for around $50.
Q: Where is the best place to buy a blue tooth accessory?
I have a Verizon LG cell phone and need a new blue tooth which holds a charge.
A: Ebay has lots of them listed. Some are new and
some are used. Not sure which you want, but you'll
find them at the ebay store below.
Q: How do I download my oictures and videos from my LG CU500?
I have recently got this phone, for which there seem to be no accessories to download my pics to my pc (at least according to cingular pr AT&T people). COuld someone tell me what I need to buy/ do to download all pics I have now in my cell to the computer?
Thank yoU!!
A: you need to buy a usb cable that connects to your computer. you have to buy it from cingular, don't buy a generic one because only thr CU500 style cable will fit in the phone. when you buy that, it comes with instructions on how to transfer pictures and data. so, buy the cable and you should be good. hope this helped! :]

A: Hi, Okay let me see if I can answer these questions.
Question #1 AT&T has an unlimited plan for $20 a month per each line. I'm not sure how much you pay each month in minutes. If you were to upgrade to the unlimited plan then you should get the text messaging included in that plan.
Question#2 There's two different ways to do it. If you want to keep the same phone number then I suggest you upgrade your phone and contract before your contract is up. Depending on what your zip code is would determine on how much the phone would be. If you are in say the 93420 area code, there's a limited time offer to have the phone for 129.99 on an upgrade. On the website or going in on your own it would be between 169 and 299.
If you wanted to get a new contract, you'd have to get a new phone number then in the web site or store, it would be about 149.99 with the mail in rebate bringing it to 99.99. I can help you bring this down to 79.99 through AT&T going this route as well too.
However if you want to change providers, I can see which provider would give the best deal for you if changing providers and see if you can port your number over as well. Keeping the same number. Alot of times there are promotional deals and the LG shine is one of those that constantly have promotional deals sometimes for free on a new contract.
The LG Shine is a pretty good phone. You don't really need any accessories for this particular phone. Unless your looking for holders or something in that area.

Q: Which do you think is a better phone?
1.The Iphone
OR
2.The Voyager (check it out: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedPhoneId=4069&lid=//global//phones+and+accessories//cell+phones//voyager+by+lg) I no, it's super long, but check!!

A: i personally like the voyager it may be longer but the keyboard is so easy to use and it is way cheaper than the iphone and u can pretty much do the same things on both phones. but the iphone does have better internet and is quicker. the only thing i dont like about the voyager is that its a little small
